Indonesian authorities announced the purchase of F-15EXs, the most advanced version of the F-15 type warplane, from the US aircraft manufacturer Boeing in order to modernize its air force. At the meeting held with Indonesian Ministry of Defense officials at Boeing’s facility in Missouri, a memorandum of understanding was signed for the sale of 24 F-15EX. The sale will be completed after US government approval.
“This state-of-the-art fighter jet will protect and ensure the safety of our people with its advanced capabilities,” Indonesian Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto said in a statement.
