Indonesian Sukhoi Su-30 Skids Off Runway

An Indonesian Air Force Sukhoi Su-30 fighter jet caused a brief panic after veering off the tarmac at Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport on Sulawesi Island. The military aircraft ended up nose-down on a grassy slope, drawing the attention of passing motorists and quickly sparking a flurry of images on social media. Despite the alarming visual, airport official Taufan Yudhistira confirmed that recovery efforts are underway and reassured travelers that “flight operations at the airport were continuing normally.” Crews are currently working to safely extract the stranded jet from the rough terrain beside runway 13.
