Indonesia’s Merapi Volcano Erupts Again

Merapi Volcano, located on Indonesia’s Java Island and around which 250,000 people live, has erupted again. Thousands of locals were evacuated as the volcano spewed lava nearby. The lavas went down 2 kilometers from the slope, and hot ash clouds rose up to 100 meters, reported authorities.

An eruption in the Merapi killed 347 people nearby in 2010. A total of 350,000 others were evacuated.
