International Flights to Start at Damascus Airport on January 7

The head of the Syrian Civil Aviation Organization, Ashhad Al Salibi, announced that international flights will start again at Damascus Airport, which was closed on December 8, when the Bashar Assad regime was overthrown, as of Tuesday, January 7.

“We are announcing that we will start receiving international flights to Damascus International Airport and operating international flights from the airport as of Tuesday. We are informing Arab and international airlines that we are in the process of completely renovating Aleppo and Damascus Airport with the help of our partners, so that they can receive flights from all over the world,” Salibi said.
