Inverted tulips bloomed with the arrival of spring in Arıcak district in Türkiye’s Elazığ province. It grows in the high-altitude mountains of Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia and is called the “crying bride” and “flower of sadness” by the locals. Those who pluck the rare inverted tulips, which bloom for 15 days a year, have to pay a penalty of 244 thousand 315 liras.
