Iran-Azerbaijan Joint Military Exercise Underway

 

The “Aras Joint Exercise” between Iran and Azerbaijan began today in Aslandüz, Ardabil province, Iran. The four-day drill involves Iran’s IRGC Ground Forces special unit and Azerbaijan’s special operations units.

The exercise aims to strengthen bilateral ties, enhance cooperation against illegal armed groups, boost border security, and improve military capacities. This development comes amid broader regional tensions involving NATO, Russia, Israel, and Iran.
