iran metro derails in tehran, 22 injured

A metro running on the Tehran-Karaj line in Iran derailed and crashed into a high-speed train, 22 people were injured, and the treatment of 11 people continues in the hospital, officials said. Iran Aid Agency Spokesperson Mujteba Khalidi said, “We sent 19 ambulances to the scene. The collision took place on the 5th metro line serving between Tehran and Karaj earlier this morning.” Tehran Metro Company General Manager Ali Azadi stated that the metro entered the high-speed train line and said, “An investigation has been launched regarding the accident. However, it is understood that the subway entered the high-speed train line and this caused the accident. The investigation into the accident continues.
