Iran Responds to Trump’s Letter With Caution

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Arakchi stated that US President Donald Trump’s letter to Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei contained threats alongside claims of supposed opportunities. Speaking on state television, Arakchi said Iran is carefully evaluating all aspects of the letter before formulating a response.

“Our priority is to protect national interests and security,” he said, adding that Iran would not overlook any opportunity in the process.

Trump’s letter, delivered through UAE official Anwar Gargash, urged negotiations on Iran’s nuclear program, warning against the development of nuclear weapons. Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ismail Bekayi dismissed media reports on the letter’s content and stated that Iran would respond through official channels.
