An Iranian man and two others were caught with drugs in a taxi at the entrance of Selim district in Türkiye’s Kars province by gendarmerie teams. Omid Baghernezad, whose body search could not find anything, was taken to Kars Harakani State Hospital. An X-ray taken at the hospital revealed that Baghernezad had ingested 412 grams of synthetic drugs, contained in 65 capsules, which were found in his stomach and intestines
During a search of the taxi driver’s and another person’s homes and workplaces, 15 grams of methamphetamine, 5 grams of cannabis, an unlicensed firearm, a magazine, and 15 rounds of ammunition were found.
Omid Baghernezad and the taxi driver were arrested on charges of “producing and trading drugs,” while the other one was released under judicial supervision.
