A 94-year-old Iranian man, Amou Haji, who did not wash himself for 70 years, thinking that he would get sick, died a couple of months after being washed by locals of the Dejgah village, in which he lived. The unusual condition of Haji was known and respected by other locals. Haji was convinced to be given a bath after an attempt of locals’ that ended up with the old man running away. However, Haji died a couple of months after he was given a bath, at the age of 94.
Being apart from any kind of social life, Haji was living in a barrack, given by locals and also avoided eating clean foods. His health condition before the incident, on the other hand, was described as unproblematic.
