Iran’s Khamenei Rejects Talks with US

Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei ruled out negotiations with the US, calling them ineffective and dishonorable. “Negotiating with the US will not solve any problems. Experience has shown this,” he said during a meeting with Air Defense Force commanders in Tehran.

Khamenei cited past talks that led to an agreement, claiming Iran made concessions while the US failed to lift sanctions as promised. “We stepped back, but the result was not achieved,” he stated, emphasizing that future negotiations would be futile.

Warning Washington against threats, Khamenei declared, “If they threaten us, we will threaten them. If they attack our security, we will retaliate against their national security without hesitation.”
