Iran’s “Northern Express” resumes its train services

Iran’s the touristic train called the “Northern Express”, which starting its journey from the Sari city in the Mazenderan province on the shores of Iran’s Caspian Sea and comes to the capital Tehran, resumed its train services on May 12, hosting its first guests after the Covid-19 restrictions were lifted. The touristic train that travels on the northern railway attracts great attention from domestic and foreign tourists. While it takes a break at the stations where historical buildings and natural beauties are located along its route, Tthe train offers its passengers the opportunity to spend time in these areas. On the route of the train passing through the Elburz Mountains, there are many important and historical points such as Sari, Qaem Shahr, Shirgah, Zirab, Pol Sefid, Savadkuh, Sorkhabad, Veresk and Firuzkuh. The train also passes through winding hills and historical bridges, and offers its guests a visual feast of northern forests and majestic mountains along the way.
