Iran’s “Toy Hospital” cheer up children and adults

Various toys are being repaired in the toy hospital opened 8 years ago by Rohollah Mojaher in Tehran, Iran. Mohajer, 43, from Iran, repairs a wide variety of toys in his shop, from electric toys such as drones, helicopters and battery cars to dolls.

Mohajer, who is known as a toy doctor by his customers and has customers from all over the country, said that he started toy repair 8 years ago by repairing his daughter’s toys. “I saw that she was upset that the toy was broken and I decided to repair it myself. While I was repairing my daughter’s toy at the store where I used to repair phones, my daughter said that the tools I used for repair were very similar to the materials used by doctors. And she asked me if I had become a toy doctor. It was as if I was operating on the toy like a doctor. My daughter was very happy and her happiness was instrumental in the making of the idea of this toy hospital.”

Noting that he has customers of all ages, Mohajer said, “Not only children bring their toys. I also have customers over the age of 60. Some bring their grandchildren’s toys, and some want their toys from their childhood to be repaired.”
