Israel airstrikes kill at least 120 in Gaza

The Israeli army conducted 400 airstrikes in the Gaza Strip, resulting in the death of 120 Palestinians. In response to Hamas releasing two hostages, Israel’s war cabinet, led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, pledged to “eliminate Hamas.” During a joint press conference, Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant expressed their determination to stand against Hamas. US President Joe Biden, in a call with Netanyahu, commended the release of hostages and pledged to work towards ensuring the safety of all hostages and American citizens in Gaza. Biden also emphasized the need for continued humanitarian aid to Gaza and reiterated US support for Israel.
