Israeli Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir declared the launch of the second phase of Operation Gideon’s Chariots, aimed at expanding and solidifying Israel’s occupation of the Gaza Strip.
During a visit to Gaza City, Zamir said the operation’s goals include defeating Hamas and securing the release of Israeli hostages, calling it both a “moral and national duty.”
