The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) claimed in a written statement that Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah was killed in the attack on Hezbollah’s headquarters in the Dahiyeh district of Beirut, the capital of Lebanon, yesterday evening. The IDF added that in addition to Nasrallah, Hezbollah’s southern front commander Ali Karaki and other commanders were also killed, and said that the attack took place while retaliation attacks against Israel were being coordinated.
Hezbollah has not yet made a statement on the matter. Sources close to Hezbollah stated that they have not been able to communicate with Hassan Nasrallah since the attack.
