Israel-Hamas War Leaves 6 Months Behind

Six months have passed since Hamas militants initiated a raid on the Supernova music festival in Israel’s Re’im town, triggering a war with the Israeli army. Israel’s attacks have caused the deaths of 33,137 civilians, at least 13,000 of whom are children, 107 journalists, 196 aid workers, and 340 healthcare workers, while thousands of others were injured in Gaza. A total of 1.7 million Palestinians, which equals to 70 percent of the population, were displaced, 55.9 percent of buildings and 60 percent of houses were destroyed or became unusable. In the region where education has stopped after 90 percent of the schools were demolished, only 10 of the 69 hospitals can provide partial service. Meanwhile, in Israel, 822 civilians and 676 service members were killed. Forty-one of those soldier deaths were caused by the army’s own attacks.
