israel makes historic official visit to UAE

It is the first time an Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett has visited the UAE, following the decision to re-establish diplomatic relations between Israel and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Bennett was welcomed by Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed, UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs. Tomorrow, Bennet is expected to meet with Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed al-Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi. It was stated that economic issues that will contribute to the strengthening of welfare and stability between the two countries, as well as issues related to deepening relations, will be discussed during the meeting.

Last June, Israeli Foreign Minister Yair Lapid visited the UAE and inaugurated the Israeli Embassy in Abu Dhabi. Last March, the UAE also appointed an ambassador to Israel.
