The Israeli army targeted Hezbollah’s headquarters in the Dahiyeh district south of the capital Beirut, Lebanon, killing 6 people, and continued its attacks on other areas in the country throughout the night. The army reported that many buildings in Sur, which they claimed to have been used as weapon storage, were also hit and Hezbollah’s missile unit commander Mohammed Ali Ismail, his deputy Hussein Ahmed Ismail and other Hezbollah members were killed.
Residents of the Dahiyeh district had fled to central Beirut and other areas in the north of the country after Israel announced their attack on Beirut in advance.
