Explosions hit Qatar’s capital, Doha, as the Israel Defense Forces confirmed targeting a Hamas negotiating team. The IDF said the group included senior figures directing Hamas operations for years and vowed to continue efforts to “defeat the organization.”
The strike came hours after Israel accepted a US-backed Gaza ceasefire proposal and days after an Israeli commander threatened Hamas leaders abroad. Hamas sources said the delegation was discussing the plan when attacked. According to local sources Hamas’ Gaza leader Khalil al-Hayya survived.
