The Israeli army carried out airstrikes on Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon in response to rocket fire from Lebanon this morning
Following Israel’s attacks, Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam said that ongoing military operations in the south could drag the country into a new war.
The United Nations Interim Peace Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) also warned that the rocket fire from Lebanon and Israel’s response “could have serious consequences for the region.”
