Israeli Airstrikes in Yemen Leave Six Dead, Dozens Injured

The death toll from Israeli airstrikes on Yemen’s Sanaa International Airport and the port city of Hudaydah, controlled by Iranian-backed Houthis, has risen to six, with over 40 injured, according to Houthi sources.

The Houthi-affiliated Saba News Agency reported three deaths and 30 injuries at the airport, while Hudaydah recorded three fatalities and 10 injuries.

World Health Organization (WHO) Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, present at Sanaa airport during the strikes, revealed on social media that a WHO staff member was injured and airport facilities severely damaged. “We extend our condolences to the families of the victims,” he stated.

The airstrikes come amid ongoing hostilities, as the Houthis have launched attacks on Israel since October 2023, prompting retaliatory measures.
