Israeli Attacks Kill 8 in Southern Lebanon

Israeli airstrikes on southern Lebanon killed at least eight people and injured 19 early Sunday, severely testing a fragile U.S.-brokered truce. The Lebanese Ministry of Health condemned the dawn attack on the town of Deir Zahrani as a “massacre,” noting that several women and children were among the casualties. Although the Trump administration recently secured a 45-day extension to the ceasefire, repeated Israeli military actions continue to undermine the agreement. Since the current wave of violence escalated in early March, the death toll in Lebanon has surpassed 3,400, with over 10,000 wounded.
