Qatar-based Al Jazeera news channel reporter Shireen Abu Akleh, was wounded by the fire opened by Israeli forces in the occupied West Bank on May 11 and died in the hospital she was taken to. On May 13, the Israeli police blocked the passage of vehicles and pedestrians on the roads where the Abu Akleh’s funeral convoy passed, and they attacked the convoy carrying the coffin wrapped in the Palestinian flag. The Israeli police intervened in the convoy with tear gas, and also prevented the youth hanging Abu Akleh’s photo on the outer walls of the church.
