Israeli police attacked journalists who were covering the restrictions against Muslims before the Friday prayer to be performed at Masjid al-Aqsa. Mustafa Haruf, a reporter for the Turkish news agency Anadolu Agency, was hit in the eye with a rifle barrel and kicked several times once he fell on the ground. He was hospitalized due to the injuries on his face and body.
Anadolu Agency Middle East News Director Turgut Alp Boyraz said after the incident that they would take the necessary actions against the officers.
