The plane carrying Israeli President Isaac Herzog and his wife, who made an official visit to Turkey upon the invitation of President Erdogan, landed at Ankara Esenboğa Airport. Herzog will go to the Presidential Complex in Beştepe and meet with Turkish President Erdoğan. During the meeting, the two sides are expected to discuss ways to expand cooperation between Turkey and Israel in a variety of fields, as well as exchange ideas on regional and international issues. As part of the visit, Herzog will also meet with members of the Jewish community in Istanbul.
Herzog has become the first Israeli leader to visit Turkey since 2008.
