While negotiations to end Israel’s attacks on the Gaza Strip and release the prisoners continued in Egypt, thousands of Israelis once again took to the streets in Tel Aviv, the capital of Israel. The protesters urged Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to reach a ceasefire with Hamas and do everything to ensure the release of captives, while accusing him of aiming to prolong the conflict in Gaza.
A Hamas official stated previously that Hamas would not accept an agreement that did not explicitly include a halt to the attacks on Gaza, and that, according to the information they had, Netanyahu prevented an agreement from being reached for personal reasons.
