Israeli Strike Kills Journalist in Lebanon

An Israeli airstrike in Tayri, near Nabatiyeh in southern Lebanon, has killed 43-year-old journalist Amal Khalil and critically injured freelance photographer Zeinab Faraj. According to the Lebanese Health Ministry, Israeli forces deliberately targeted the building where the journalists had taken refuge and subsequently fired stun grenades at a Red Cross ambulance attempting to rescue the victims. Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam strongly condemned the attack and the obstruction of medical personnel, describing the incident as a blatant war crime. In response, the Israeli military acknowledged the strike but denied intentionally targeting media workers, claiming instead that they hit individuals connected to a Hezbollah military structure who posed an imminent threat to their troops.
