Israel’s Raid On Gaza Aid Flotilla Sparks Global Outrage

Israel’s raid on the Global Sumud Flotilla, which set out from Tunisia to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza, and the detention of dozens of activists have triggered protests in cities including Athens, Rome, Brussels, Tunis, and Berlin.

Irish Foreign Minister Simon Harris called the intervention “concerning” and confirmed an Irish senator was among those detained. Colombia announced it will expel Israel’s diplomatic delegation and terminate its free trade deal, while Venezuela condemned the raid as “a continuation of genocide.”

Hamas labeled the incident “piracy and terrorism” and urged the international community to act to protect the activists and ships.
