Ramadan events are held at Istanbul Airport, which is Turkey’s gateway to the world. In this context, airport operator IGA is hosting different events at Istanbul Airport in order to reflect the spirit of Ramadan, where centuries-old traditions are kept alive, to domestic and foreign passengers. The airport, which is specially decorated for the month of Ramadan with special artistic and cultural events befitting Istanbul with its history, culture and spirituality.
Since the beginning of Ramadan, ney, qanun, calligraphy and marbling, wood carving teams, Karagöz-Hacivat Theater (traditional Turkish shadow play), Ottoman candy and Cotton Candy in various parts of Istanbul Airport, including domestic and international lines, keep the spirit of brotherhood and sharing alive. In addition, in the children’s playground made available on the departures floor of the terminal, little passengers have the opportunity to have fun before their flight with playgrounds such as a carousel, ferris wheel and trampoline.
Traditional events at Istanbul Airport will continue throughout the month of Ramadan.
