Some of Istanbul’s historic sites have been abandoned in recent years, while others have decayed. Specialist from Istanbul’s cultural heritage department (BB Miras) come together to work on restoration, architecture, engineering, history, and visual arts. They want to bring some of the city’s fading beauties back to life. The team of specialists travels throughout Istanbul six days a week, performing tasks ranging from minor repairs and cleaning to large-scale restorations.
