Istanbul’s Dam Levels Plummet

Istanbul’s dam levels have dropped to critical lows, with overall occupancy at 30.18%, according to İSKİ data. The Alibey Dam, a key water source for the city, has reached its lowest point in a decade, now at only 6.07% capacity. The decline follows an unusually dry autumn and a hot summer, intensifying concerns about water shortages in Türkiye’s largest city.
