At least 7 people were killed and 9 were injured in the avalanche that occurred as a result of the rupture of the glacier on Marmolada Mountain, which is located in Italy’s Trentino and Veneto regions. Rescue teams were dispatched to the area and conducted search and rescue operations with helicopter support.
According to officials, the ice mass broke at two points, causing an avalanche. Yesterday, it was reported that the temperature in Marmolada rose by about 10 degrees.
