Italy to Build Migrant Centers in Albania

The agreement that allows Italy to build two migrant centers in the city of Lezhë in northern Albania was accepted with the votes of 77 deputies in the 140-seat Albanian parliament. According to the agreement, irregular immigrants rescued by Italian ships in the Mediterranean will be taken to these centers, where 3,000 people can be accommodated per month, and their asylum applications will be processed in these centers.
