Türkiye’s Izmir Province celebrated the 100th anniversary of Turkish Republic in Republic Square. Following the singing of the National Anthem and holding of a moment of silence and the Turkish flag was raised the celebrations began with the opening speech of Izmir Governor Süleyman Elban. The celebrations, which numerous citizens attended, included traditional folklore dances and flight shows.
