Izmir’s emergency hospital puts into service

Buca Seyfi Demirsoy Training and Research Hospital, which was built for use in disasters and epidemics in Izmir, Turkey has started accepting patients. The hospital also started to accept patients in the general hospital concept.

Giving information about the hospital, Izmir Provincial Health Director Assoc. Dr. Emre Erkuş said, “The emergency hospital was built after the earthquake that occurred on October 30, 2020. The hospital has 300 beds, HEPA filter and isolation, and an intensive care unit. There are 148 qualified single rooms with bathrooms, WCs, TVs and refrigerators.”
