Japan Battles Forest Fires in Ehime and Okayama

Forest fires in Japan’s Ehime and Okayama prefectures have been raging for three days, scorching 514 hectares of land. Over 16,000 households faced power outages, while evacuation warnings were issued to more than 1,000 residents in Imabari, Ehime. In Okayama’s Minami district, six structures were damaged, and efforts to contain the blaze continue with support from the Japan Self-Defense Forces.
