japan commemorates 1st anniversary of Abe’s death

A memorial service was held for former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, who died as a result of an armed attack in Japan, at the Zozoji Temple in Tokyo on the 1st anniversary of his death. In addition, in the city of Nara, where Abe died, many people left flowers at the place where the attack took place, commemorating the former prime minister.

Abe, who was titled “Japan’s longest-serving prime minister”, was shot to death during an armed attack carried out during his election speech on July 8, 2022.
