Victims of World War II were commemorated on the 78th anniversary of the war in the Japanese capital, Tokyo. A ceremony, which was attended by 1800 people, public authorities such as Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako and relatives of war victims, was held at the Nippon Budokan Hall.
In his speech at the ceremony, Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida said that his country has been walking the path of peace since the end of the war.
