Japan Sends DAICHI-4 Observation Satellite Into Orbit

Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) successfully launched the H3 rocket carrying the observation satellite DAICHI-4, which will provide high quality images of earth to be used for monitoring disaster areas, volcanic activities or ground transformations caused by earthquakes.

The first launch attempt of the H3 rocket, jointly developed by JAXA and Mitsubishi, was made in March last year, but the attempt failed due to engine failure.
