Fifty-one-year-old Turkish national athlete Yusuf Dikeç, whose use of minimal equipment and relaxed attitude during the shooting competition at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games became a world-wide trend topic, gained lots of sympathy in Japan as well. His unique stance and love for cats were depicted by many artists in Japan.
Yusuf Dikeç won Türkiye a silver medal with his teammate, Şevval İlayda Tarhan, in the 10-meter air pistol mixed team competition at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
