Japanese Astronaut Captures Aurora From ISS

Japanese astronaut Kimiya Yui has recorded the aurora borealis from aboard the International Space Station. Sharing the footage on social media, Yui said he was happy to capture the moment and hoped the images would bring joy to viewers. The aurora borealis is a natural light display caused by charged solar particles interacting with Earth’s atmosphere near the poles.
