Guinness World Records announced that the world’s oldest identical twins are in Japan, with twin sisters Umeno Sumiyama and Koume Kodama living for 107 years and 300 days. Sumiyama and Kodama, both described as social people, were born on November 5, 1913, on the island of Shodoshima. The sisters’ record registration took place to coincide with Respect for the Aged Day, a public holiday in Japan.
