The incident occurred at 11:01 local time from the launch site in Kushimoto, Wakayama province, with the explosion scattering rocket parts and igniting a small-scale fire. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. A thorough investigation has been initiated to determine the cause of the explosion.
The launch had previously been postponed due to a security concern stemming from a ship’s proximity to the launch site.
