Jellyfish have invaded the Bosphorus strain in Istanbul, Türkiye. Jellyfish covered approximately 2 kilometers of the coastline of Sarıyer, a northern district of Istanbul. According to locals, the jellyfish appeared as a result of heavy pollution in the sea. White jellyfish covering the beach were viewed from the air with a drone.
Walking on the beach, Süheyla Türkylmaz said, “It’s most likely due to the dirt. I saw how many times they cleaned it while walking, but this is not a cleaning job.”
