Qatar-based Al Jazeera news channel Journalist Shireen Abu Akleh, who shot and killed by the Israeli forces in the occupied West Bank on May 11, bid farewell to her last journey. A funeral ceremony was held for Abu Akleh with the participation of tens of thousands of people. Later, Abu Akleh’s body was taken to Mount Zion Cemetery, where she will be buried next to her deceased parents.
On the other hand, Israeli forces blocked the entrance of vehicles and pedestrians on the roads where the funeral convoy organized for Abu Akleh passed, and attacked the convoy carrying the coffin wrapped in the Palestinian flag. During the incident, 1 Palestinian who participated in the funeral convoy was detained by the Israeli forces.
