Kashmir Solidarity Day celebrated in Pakistan

Pakistan is holding celebrations for the annual Kashmir Solidarity Day, which is celebrated on every February 5th to draw the world’s attention to the unsolved Kashmir problem between Pakistan and India that derives from India’s illegal occupation of Jammu and Kashmir. In the protest held in Karachi, Indians from all walks of life, including politicians, lawyers, social activists and students are expressing their solidarity with Kashmiris.

In the message he published on the occasion of the special day, Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said India would be mistaken for believing they could make the Kashmiri people give up their decision and added, “India cannot break the will of the Kashmiri people or undermine their legitimate struggle.” Sharif called on India to fulfill its promises to Pakistan, the UN, and most importantly, the people of Kashmir.
