Two years after the catastrophic flood in the Western Black Sea Region of Türkiye on August 11, 2021, which resulted in the loss of 65 lives and 7 individuals going missing in Kastamonu’s Bozkurt district, the area has seen significant reconstruction. The flood led to the devastation of numerous homes and businesses, and collapsed infrastructure, leaving thousands stranded. However, in the ensuing two years, concerted efforts have brought the district back on its feet. A drone captured the district’s transformation by comparing aerial shots taken a day after the flood and those taken two years later.
