Kazakh search and rescue teams have returned home after participating in earthquake relief efforts in Kahramanmaraş, Türkiye. The first group arrived at Almaty Airport yesterday, and the second group reached Astana this morning. Kazakhstan Interior Minister Yuriy Ilyin and Türkiye’s Ambassador to Astana Ufuk Ekici greeted the team families upon their arrival.
Kazakhstan had sent a search and rescue team of 100 people to Turkey and allocated $1 million from the budget for earthquake victims. The government also sent 50,000 tons of aid to the affected areas.
