Nationwide anti-government protests enter their second week in Kenya after opposition leader Raila Odinga called for a demonstration against President William Ruto’s government over the high cost of living. Opposition Azimio coalition supporters threw stones and shouted slogans against riot police. Kenyan police used tear gas to disperse demonstrators who attacked them with stones and obstructed roadways.
Additionally, protests are now expected to take place every Monday and Thursday of every week until their demands are met.
